What is Faculty Coaching?

Academic coaching is individualized or small-group instruction designed to assist MCCN students in meeting their academic goals.  Coaching is available in a variety of academic areas including research, science, math, and writing and is conducted by designated faculty members who are affiliated with The Academic Resource Center.

Who is eligible to receive Faculty Coaching?

All currently enrolled, MCCN students are eligible to receive faculty coaching.  In order to request faculty coaching, please contact the faculty coach with whom you wish to see, the Coordinator of The ARC, or simply stop by our office in CLE 207.

How can Faculty Coaching help me achieve my academic goals?

The ways that coaching can be beneficial for students are as varied as our students themselves.  Some students seek coaching to help strengthen their study skills or reading comprehension.  Other students might be interested in receiving coaching to help them complete a research project or identify a topic for a Master's Thesis.

If you are interested contact Anne Hinze, Coordinator of The ARC at ahinze@mccn.edu
